Local filly Diablo Blanco produced a bold audition for Christchurch’s upcoming spring features with a runaway victory in Saturday’s CJC Feature Nominations Close 27 August Three-Year-Old (1200m) on Riccarton’s synthetic track.
A three-year-old race on the Riccarton Park synthetic track on Saturday will be used as a stepping stone towards spring stakes targets for highly talented local filly Diablo Blanco.
“He won a (rating) 75 1400m in his last start and it’s a 75 1600m this week, and he has already won over 1600m on the synthetic. It looks an ideal race.”
Exciting filly Diablo Blanco made the perfect start to her new campaign with a comfortable victory in the Bevan Crombie Memorial (1200m) at Oamaru on Sunday.
“She had a long campaign, so she has had a decent spell and hopefully she is in for another long campaign because there are a lot of good three-year-old races coming up."
