Polytrack specialist Lhasa showed he is no one-trick pony when performing up to the highest level on the grass this season, but he will return to his favourite surface at Cambridge on Thursday.
Lhasa proved he is more than a synthetic track specialist when he nearly caused an upset when finishing runner-up in Saturday’s Gr.2 Foxbridge Plate (1200m) at Te Rapa.
Cambridge trainer Mark Treweek continued his great record on his local synthetic track on Wednesday when Seamsew took out the Saddley Warehouse (970m).
“A lot of money has been spent on putting these synthetic tracks in, I enjoy racing on them, and it is nice to see a bit of prizemoney thrown at racing on those tracks.”
