Lance Gussey is hoping to put a last-start disappointment behind him when Joshua Brown lines up in the Listed Team Wealleans Matamata Cup (1600m) on Saturday.
“I don’t really like travelling, so I probably wouldn’t have come down this far today if I didn’t rate this horse highly. It was well worth it for him."
It was a sentimental day at Arawa Park on Saturday for Cambridge trainer Lance Gussey after he recorded his first win as a trainer courtesy of Joshua Brown, a horse bred by his late father Ronald Gussey.
