Synthetic specialist Gemma Flitz continued her purple patch of form on Riccarton’s polytrack on Thursday when taking out the Stable Books and Ardex Supporting NZ Trainers Open (1200m).
Gemma Flitz has been a model of consistency on Riccarton’s synthetic track and she capped off that form when it counted, claiming the major spoils in Wednesday’s $100,000 Polytrack Championship (1200m).
It was a day to remember at Riccarton Park for apprentice jockey Denby-Rose Tait, the 23-year-old scoring her first career win followed by a race-day double at Wednesday’s all-weather meeting.
