Trainer Sophie Price put aside her regular Clerk of the Course duties at Invercargill on Saturday to watch her promising three-year-old filly Hello Hayley take out the Listed ILT Ascot Park Hotel Southland Guineas (1400m) at Ascot Park on Saturday.

“She’s a typical red-head and a bit fiery so she lives up to her name, but she is a wee honey and has gotten better with age."

A trio of Southland runners will be on trial for looming Cups targets when they head to Ashburton on Thursday.
