Platinum Diamond will put her undefeated Heavy track record on the line this weekend when she heads to Wanganui on Saturday to contest the Listed HS Dyke Wanganui Guineas (1200m).

“My grandmother and grandfather raced Seamist, so we’ve always kept an eye out for that family.”

The Lisa Latta-trained pair of Platinum Diamond and Brutiful Lass will bid to end their juvenile season in perfect fashion at Otaki on Saturday when they tackle the Listed Phils Electrical & Gipsy Caravans Ryder Stakes (1200m).

“This is a nice horse. She was travelling very well all the way. I just waited until the straight, and then she flew home.”

“It will be her third start and she’ll need a break at some stage, she was a late foal and she looks a nice three-year-old prospect.”

"She was impressive today and we may look at the Castletown now, but we’ll just see how she pulls up.”
