Nick Kneebone has hit the ground running in his first full season of training, highlighted by his first Group One result last weekend when Speed Demon ran home well to finish third in the Gr.1 Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) at Trentham.

“The plan now is to take them down to Cambridge and get them ready, either to be traded on to overseas or to go into training here.”

“That’s always the risk, a sire that’s up and coming like that, but with the backing of Waikato Stud, he’s a good punt.”
