Matamata mare Cork is on her way home after a pleasing hit-and-run mission on Saturday’s Gr.3 Winter Cup (1600m) at Riccarton where she finished runner-up to Belardo Boy.
Cork continued her love affair with Tauranga on Saturday when extending her unbeaten streak to three on the Bay of Plenty track in the Punter Of The Year Now November 4th (1400m).
Progressive mare Cork is forward to resume at Hastings on Saturday, although co-trainer Pam Gerard would have preferred to have seen her back in action a week earlier.
