Single Red got her Queensland campaign off to a pleasing start on Saturday when finishing runner-up to Nightline in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m), and trainer Andrew Forsman is looking forward to what lies ahead for the daughter of Vanbrugh.

Pacifico capped a memorable half an hour for Jomara Bloodstock and Forsman Racing when taking out the Listed Campbell Infrastructure Rotorua Cup (2200m) at Arawa Park.

Single Red will by flying Andrew Forsman’s flag in Queensland on Saturday, but the trans-Tasman trainer will also have plenty of firepower back in New Zealand.

Encouraged by a more favourable weather forecast for the lower North Island, Cambridge trainer Andrew Forsman has opted to target Saturday’s Otaki meeting ahead of his local fixture the following day at Te Rapa.

“There’s the possibility of running him in the Taumarunui Cup, so we just want to see how he goes on the course.”
