Highview Stud-based Mr Mozart has proved popular with breeders since retiring to his Waikato base and numbers-wise claims the strongest first-season sire representation at this week’s New Zealand Bloodstock National Weanling Sale.

Highview Stud have announced the service fees for their quartet of stallions ahead of the 2026 breeding season, headlined by Group One sire Wrote, who will again stand for a fee of $12,000+GST.

“There’s been more phone calls off the back of that and Wrote’s close to being full at around 90 (mares).”

Highview Stud has added another touch of Australian flavour to its stallion roster with the recruitment of Mr Mozart, a Group Two-winning son of the champion sire Snitzel.
