Matamata visitor Harlech made the trip down to Wingatui on Saturday a profitable one as he blitzed his rivals by four lengths in the Listed Nellies Restaurant & Bar Hazlett Stakes (1400m).
Fan favourite Harlech has finally found his way to the winners’ enclosure following more than three and a half years since his last victory, racing away for a satisfying win in the Avon City Ford Easter Cup (1600m) at Riccarton.
“It was a really good win at Ellerslie, he seems to have continued to go in that same positive direction since the race as well, which is encouraging.”
