Group One performer Sacred Satono will be looking to bounce back to form when he heads to Te Rapa on Saturday to tackle a star-studded line-up in the Gr.1 BCD Group Sprint (1400m).
“He can do whatever he needs to do, he jumps and puts himself in the race, he can be back, forward, it doesn’t matter. He’s very adaptable, nothing needs to change.”
Despite having to sit wide throughout, promising juvenile Saltcoats proved too strong for his rivals in the feature race at Pukekohe on Saturday, the Listed Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Futurity Stakes (1400m).
Lightly raced filly Loch Katrine lived up to her breeding when she scampered through the heavy conditions at Pukekohe to break her maiden status in the Lised Staphanos at Novara Park Champagne Stakes (1600m).
On the eve of her final raceday appearance, it has been announced that four-time Group One winner Levante (Proisir) will go up for auction at next month’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.
