Less than a week after Mr Brightside’s gallant effort when beaten a nose into second in the Gr.1 Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley, connections were back at the inner-city venue to watch another New Zealand bred son of Bullbars.
The Lindsay Park training triumvirate of Ben, JD and Will Hayes are confident their Kiwi-bred star Mr Brightside can return to his winning ways when he heads to The Valley on Saturday.
Mr Brightside has conquered all before him this spring and jockey Craig Williams has a warning for his rivals, the son of Bullbars is only going to improve.
