Promising filly Sweet Talkin Gal got Hollie Wynyard’s week off on the right foot as she readies proven mare Archaic Smile for a stakes assignment at Riccarton on Saturday.
Proven mare Archaic Smile is looking to make her presence felt in the open ranks before a potential southern trip when she contests Saturday’s Gr.3 fastinternet.co.nz Spring Sprint (1400m) at Otaki.
“We’re just playing around with a few things, but he’s working great and he’s a talented little horse. Hopefully he can put his best foot forward on Saturday.”
“Hopefully the track’s not too bad, I think she’ll run nicely and head through the three-year-old fillies series through the spring and should be competitive.”
“He’ll take plenty of improvement out of his trial and he is a horse that I think the Coupland’s on a big, roomy track, especially with a firm surface, would be ideal.”
