Foxton is a key training and trialling centre in the Central Districts. The course is the main centre for the Central Districts Equestrian Society, with show jumping, dressage, showing, Mounted Games and Carriage Driving. The National Pony Club Showhunter Championships are held at Foxton Racecourse annually. Foxton Racecourse is also the home of The Green Heart Trust and the Foxton Menz Shed, as well as the Moutua Pony Club.
