Egmont Racing Club holds meetings at Hawera Racecourse in August, September, October and May.  The track is a spacious 1800m track with a straight consisting of 425m. The Hawera surface is generally acknowledged as one of the better racing tracks in the Central Districts.

The venue has two Grandstands; the Members have four lounges, 3 upstairs and 1 below.  It can provide corporate facilities for parties up to 100.  The Public Grandstand has large concrete steps providing excellent viewing of the course.
